Lori McNulti and family have joined our page. Lori is a long time Paradise Series owner and not only she, but her family are readers of these books. She has nothing but good to say about our work. We are working hard on series two, all books in that series now with the publisher. Thanks

Welcome to Paradise. We cater to the youth of America and our goal is to provide as much good material as possible for our parents to offer to their children. We are interested in books that a six and eight year old can pick up after their fourteen…

Good morning Dr M! I think that if could invest the same amount of energy we use to come up with excuses into actually making changes in individual worlds, the collective world would be a different place.

Life is a great place to be and when I find that better place, which is where you will find me. I am sure that age is not a factor, if that were the case, I would be one of the smartest men in the world. Some of us learn faster and it seems some of…

School for the Soul

“God allows us to experience the low points in life in order to teach us lessons we would not learn in any other way. The way we learn these lessons is not to deny the feelings but to find the meanings underlying them.” ~ Stanley LindquistTo the joy of most children on a traditional school calendar, the 2009-2010 scholastic year is, once again, drawing to an end. In five and a half more weeks, according to one of my sons, ‘jail will let out.’ That mere comment, happily uttered while standing in…See More

I also think it is important to realize who calls it sin. What one person, family or religion calls a sin, another class might call it a diversion etc. I tend to look at humans as superior animals without perfection and often falling into…

A philosopher friend of mine believes and one has to think radically to bear with this thought. He says there is no such thing as the future. we have contrived a mental protection from what we don't know and claim it hides us from what is…

Boats in the Storm

“Calmness is the cradle of power.” ~ Josiah Gilbert Holland

Since I was very young, my mother taught me to associate different mental states with visual symbols to understand their essence more closely.

Water, for one, is connected to emotions simply because of its fluidity and duality – a little gentle water is nurturing, empowering and cooling toward other overwhelming states such as anger and jealousy, which are hot and unsettling in nature; too much water,… Continue

Forgive Me, For I Have Sinned...

“It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution.” ~ Oscar Wilde

Growing up Catholic, confession was one of the dreaded tasks I had no way out of and never looked forward to, but unfortunately it was one of the necessary evils one had to undergo at least once a month. According to Don Battaglini, confession was as essential before receiving communion as scrubbing behind one’s ears is before going to the doctor, and he wouldn’t have it any other… Continue

What Tomorrow Might Bring

“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, it empties today of its strength.” – C. Ten Boom

Robert J. Burdette, an early 900s American humorist and clergyman, once said that it isn't the experience of today that drives men mad, but the remorse for something that happened yesterday, and the dread of what tomorrow might bring.

Although the past clings to life in our minds, it is but a ghost of times gone by. It is easy to identify with because of the emotional triggers… Continue

Paradise

Putting a book on the market can be a real task.

Authors find it very difficult to navigate the modern avenues of publishing. Yes, just like everything else, we have moved on. I answer a lot of emails and respond to questions on a lot of social networking sites. One that I just finished I thought I would post it here. So many people believe you can write a book and become a number one in no time. Don't count on it. There are so many ways of getting a book published and so many people are doing it that the market is cluttered with would-bees.… Continue
